05. Cuffinks

What is the standard size of cufflinks?
Most of the cufflinks we offer range in size between 1/2″ x 1/2″ and 1″ x 1″. There is no standard size for cufflinks as each pair of cufflinks is unique in design. The size of each product is noted on the product page under product specifications.

What are the different metals used to make cufflinks?

All of our metal products are made from .925 sterling silver, palladium, stainless steel, titanium or plated base metals. We also offer 14k and 18k gold.

Sterling silver is a soft metal that is ideal for engraving. Sterling silver items require polishing over time. Oxidative tarnishing occurs when silver is exposed to oxygen. The best way to avoid oxidative tarnishing is to store your cufflinks in a jewelry storage box or use a soft polishing cloth for routine maintenance. Wearing your cufflinks regularly will also help prevent them from losing their luster, as the fabric on French cuff shirts will keep them shiny.

Palladium is a metal alternative to platinum. It has been used interchangeably with platinum in precious metal jewelry since the 1930s. Palladium is a strong, durable and rare metal, and its brilliance makes it ideal for plating cufflinks.

Stainless steel is a very strong metal that will not corrode or rust. Its strength and resistance to damage is perfect for cufflinks and makes it ideal for engraving.

Titanium is the strongest metal we use. This silver-colored metal is corrosion-resistant, abrasion-resistant and very durable.

Plating Objects are constructed from a base combination of metals and then plated with polished silver or rhodium. The exact composition of the core in base metals may vary.
